This is the in-advance announcement of the release of SurveyPie new pricing. Starting November/19/2011, new pricings will become effective. Please read this carefully as modifications may affect your account and uses. If you continue using SurveyPie after Nov/19/2011, we consider your use as acceptance to all modifications made.

Detailed modifications include:

1. Earning free coins by inviting friends will be cancelled permanently. Coins you’ve earned before we remove this feature will REMAIN in your account.
2. Fees for each Pro function are modified accordingly: 1) Fees for Data Export function will be elevated from 200 coins to 1000 coins; 2) Fees for Removal of Banner Ads will be elevated from 200 coins to 1000 coins; 3) Fees for Filters will be elevated from 100 coins to 500 coins.

All coins you’ve bought or earned before the time new pricing become effective will remain in your account UNTOUCHED.

What’s happening next?

1. If you’ve verified your email address before April-15-2011, we’ll add another 500 coins to your account.
2. If you invited friends to SurveyPie successfully before April-15-2011, we’ll add another 50 coins to your account for each friend you invited.
3. If you spent coins enabling Logic Rules, Password Protection and Custom Redirection before April-15-2011, we’ll send those coins you spent back to your account.

When can I get my coins you promised?

We’ll look into each user’s account status and spending log. As data is huge, it may takes up to 5 working days to finish. We’ll send emails to users who are eligible for bonus coins to inform them how many coins they can get.

If you think you’re eligible but didn’t receive any notify emails until April-22-2011, please contact us using your registered email address.

For better display result, we removed customized themes and adjusted some page elements to fit surveys into small screens. So don’t be too confused when you see a blank survey with no custom fonts or background images on your mobile.

img2: This is how it looks on a mobile. Notice the URLs are different? Your respondents enter the “www” address the same as on a computer and our system will automatically transfer them to “mobile” address. So relax, you don’t need to send different addresses to different respondents. Just give them the same address!

As our system is web-based, internet connection on mobile devices is required and your respondents need to use a mobile browser to visit your survey. Please remember that we only optimized the survey page (the page your respondents see and submit their choices) and you are not recommended to create surveys on your mobile devices.

We are also considering developing mobile applications so you can create and manage surveys easier on the go. Had you any suggestions for us, make sure we get your brilliant ideas!

Before printing, make sure you set the printer to print page background too. Click on File tab of your browser, open Page Setup, make sure the “Print background” option is selected.

Rreview to make everything looks ok before you click “Print”.

PLEASE NOTE: as our charts are generated using flash, you can’t print them directly using web print function. Create a chart first then right click your mouse on the chart to save it to local drive.

The survey system will be running as usual, and we have staffs for website maintenance.

SurveyPie even allows you to easily analyze Rating scale questions by adding scores to each answer choice. In the final report, you get a Total score and an Average score. But make sure you set your points of each answer choice correctly.

Of course, if you don’t need to analyze any scores, simply set the Matrix to “Multiple choice”.

If you want your respondents to rank a series of answer choices, set the question to “Ranking”. By seleting this option, your respondents can choose only one from each column for this question.

When adding logic rules to questions, you simply select questions should appear once respondents select this answer choice. But if you are adding logic rules to pages, be sure you select the corresponding PAGE not the question in that page. Otherwise, your respondents may see blank pages!

1. Search. Type one or two keywords of your targeting survey title into the search box, you can find it right away.

2. Sort. Surveys can be sorted in 3 ways: by survey titles, by the date of survey creation and by the date of survey modification. You can choose to display surveys from A to Z or Z to A, from oldest to newest or newest to oldest. It’s totally your call.

3. Tag. You may have several surveys using the same title, but distributed via different channels. To make it easier for management, tag them differently. Click on [Modify] and enter a suitable tag for you to recognize.

In the future, you can find all surveys sharing the same tag easily by choosing it in the drop-down menu of tags.
